NIH Shared Instrument
NCRR's Shared Instrument Grant Program supports the purchase of research equipment for use by multiple NIH grant holders. The zeego@Stanford provides access to a world-class piece of equipment that is capable of producing the most advanced forms of fluoroscopic and CT imaging for anatomical, functional, quantitative, brain, cardiovascular and body applications.
Research
Research in C-arm CT spans reconstruction and analysis algorithms, hardware development, image quality/dose assessment and new in vivo protocols. Through a combination of physics and engineering, advanced imaging technologies are developed using phantoms and pre-clinical models.
Translation
The primary goal is to advance diagnostics and image guidance during minimally invasive procedures. Successful translation demonstrates the power of clinically motivated research using state-of-the-art technology.
